Default Matte Black RX

A friend of mine got matte black BMW 5er and I was really impressed, so I'm thing to do the same with my RX350.

Unfortnately, I couldn't find any pictures of second generation RX in matte black (I want to see how it looks in real life). Maybe someone knows where to find such photos?

I found only 2 very small images of matte black RXII (and tons of RXIII) - http://www.colourmycar.net/go/case-s...ase-study.html

Was not a stock color, so only those who have repainted would even be possibilities.

Here is the Lexus LF-Xh concept in matte black:

Perhaps something in here might be of interest:

Perhaps you could get someone to do this as a wrap for you instead of painting the vehicle.

A shop here in FL has a few on their site, not RX though, that they have done:

Great idea! I vote for the wrap as well, so many possibilities. Do it in zebra stripes!

You can buy my Onyx Black in 10 years.... It'll look matte by that time.

No clue. Just knew it was possible. Give them a call and ask.

FWIW, racing vehicles no longer have much in the way of paint. Rather, they have a base color and the rest is a wrap. Makes it easier to change from week-to-week and keeps the weight down.

they are easy to remove, literally a piece of plastic over your car. I am sure it will cost a lot though, Im thinking 2K plus

A wrap (if done right) is a great way to save thousands of $$ in ruining a perfectly good Lexus that can be taken off and resold later. Consider if you get it painted you can forget about a dealership trade in, in most cases.

Yes, I'm NOT thinkg of repainting the car, I want to do wrapping (friend did the same. I think it should cost a bit more than for BMW 5er (friend paid $1500 for it). But the only problem is that I can find pictures of all Lexus models except RX

I know that there is no accounting for taste, but the whole thing sounds like a perfectly stupid idea to me and a giant waste of money, more of which will be required for the restoration when the gag gets old (unless perhaps "ManXP" is using the RX as an undercover vehicle for stake-outs and wants to remain incognito).

Well, it was just an idea, and I'm not 100% sure yet. I'm also thinking of selling my Lexus and switching back to Jaguar (if I can find a good deal). Oh well...

I do not think the RX would look good in matte black. I think a car should have masculine body lines to pull off this look.
