Sewell sells a rack removal kit for 70 dollars that includes all the necessary hardware. I used that. Your car would look good with all of it removed, L and all.

If I do, I will keep the L. And maybe paint it to simulate Black Pearl.

I think I will. I never thought much about it until this thread but seeing my car after the photoshop really has me going. Very clean appearance combined with the roof delete.

OMG! Can H&R springs be far behind!?!

Plenty of Goo Gone (does not hurt the paint) will make life good. Then just polish and wax.

True, 99.99999999% of the world has no idea there was ever anything there in the first place. It may confuse a few non-CL Lexus drivers but I can live with that.

For me it's one of the last pieces of external modification I can do to take full advantage of the lines of the car, they really are quite attractive. That's why I brought up the H&R springs, a two inch drop would really take it to another level.

Unfortunately, this car is the best road car I've ever owned, it's embarrassingly better on the road than my 300 was. As a result, I cannot bring myself to change the ride even a little. Seriously, I was in the saddle for 7 hours straight with one potty/fuel break and suffered no ill effects. My 300 beat me to death on the same trip. Back, legs, nerves, all shot.

Well, maybe one more mod, a shark fin antenna or better yet a hidden antenna, anything to get rid of the little black stick on my roof!

Kid you not, I have been thinking about it...replace it with a shark fin type.

I've checked them out, the quality ones run about 90 bucks painted which isn't bad but I'm thinking about going to Car Toys to see if there is a way to install a hidden one and have nothing on the roof.

If the fin would be centered maybe but it will look out of place off to the right. (IMHO) Maybe a flat one that looks like a GPS antenna.

Hidden antennas do not really work as good as the exposed.

Many years ago they migrated to hidden powered antenna, no luck and more expensive. Hence we started to see the exposed antennas again. They do look sleeker today.

Then again some people do not even use the radio...I still do.

Well, the shark fin would be much better than the black stick. I thought about putting a stubby on it but the fin would look more integrated.

I have a clay bar and wax job coming from my mechanic and I'm going to have him remove the badges when he does it.
