My fathers vehicle is at 45k miles, and the rotors are warped (seems to be common on the RX, as my uncles have done the same). He wants to replace the front rotors and brakes but because of the bad luck with the OEM I'm looking at other companies.
My current option is the EBC Ultimax Rotor and Brake combo. Does anyone have any other recommendation? He factors longevity into this decision and any upgrade such as EBC Green Stuff, and they seem to last half as long from reviews.

Here is previous thread on this same topic:

FWIW, I have 85K now on my 2004 and have yet to turn the rotors front or rear. So, OEM rotors have done me well. Am thinking of replacing the fronts when I have to change the front pads next, though I will break out the caliper to see how much rotor is still left.

BTW, regarding the warpage issue you mentioned... make sure that when your tires are rotated that the tech does not overdo it with the impact gun. Matter of fact, ask for them to be hand tightened with a torque wrench if possible. Over tightening is one cause of warped rotors -- perhaps the leading cause.
Here are the readings from the Owner's Manual I posted previously:
103 N·m (10.5 kgf·m, 76 ft·lb)
Section 6 of the 2004 RX330 manual. Listed under:
SERVICE PROCEDURES AND SPECIFICATIONS
Chassis
Same for both the 17" and 18" wheels.

The OEM rotor should be good for at least 60K. My 08 is at 58K and when I changed front pads last month, the rotor is still above 27mm which means that it hasn't used half of the width yet.
