Looks like the Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza is officially dead. Anything being shown by resellers is just old stock being cleared out of the warehouses.

This tire has been replaced by the Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus. Comes with a treadwear rating of 800 in the 235/55R18 tire size. Of course, it is way too new for any real information to be known about this tire.

Usually, these warranties also have a five or six year limit to reach that mileage. So, there is no benefit, IMO, unless you put in a lot time behind the wheel.

Will include this new tire in my list of those to choose from to replace my existing Alenzas when it comes times in spite of of the mileage claims instead of because of them.

Default 235/60-18 Continental Tires

I forgot to post that I got the 235/60-18 size Continentals. Now our GPS and speedometer finally match!

It is a LRR tire. See here: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....ALNP&tab=Specs

As mentioned previous, this tire is just too new. Will have to wait for the information to trickle in. Luckily, I think I have one more tire rotation left in my Alenzas. Was thinking about taking it by the shop for a rotation this week or next.

What did you do about your spare tire?

I have to remind myself when I go in for my next tire rotation to have them drop the spare tire for an inspection. It is still the OE Michelin and is now ten years old. So, I need to look at the possibility of having to purchase five tires instead of four at the next interval.

Now that the early 2nd Generation RX are clocking in at ten years of age this should be a topic most everyone in this group should be considering when they get around to needing tires the next time around.

Um, sorry if this has been mentioned, but on my sister's 04 RX-330 with nav, there is fcn on menu to calibrate after tire change. She's had a couple of nav discs, so dunno if its a newer feature. There is also way to get a prerun of trip, but I've only been able to get it to run once. Don't know or really care since its not my car......

Default Tires for RX models

I have done an exhaustive hunt for tires and after readin forums all over I have decided on the Bridgestone Dueler Alenza PLUS. It has an 80,000 mile rating! The best price I have found is on discounttiredirect.com for $179 and free ship. Anyone finding them less please advise.

That was the lowest I found in my search as well, Libertylvr. Their price with no shipping and no sales tax was hard to beat. Still, as I do not drive as much as I once did it is hard to justify that tire at the moment. Also, as it is so new there are no reviews at this time.

You will want to be sure to check the quality of your spare tire as well. If it is still the OE tire from when new it probably should be replaced as well since it is now 10 years old.

Be sure to come back and let us know how they do for you over time.

I need some help wit buying tires for my RX 350. Currently the car has 5 Nexen tires from previous owner. Fronts are almost bald, and the spare as well. Rears have a decent amount left. I am leaning towards the Goodyear Comfortred. So should I buy 5 tires to incorporate into the rotation, or just buy 4, and use the good old tire and mount it on the spare? eventhough it's a different tire as the new ones. Would I damage the differential if I needed to ride on the spare?
