Default Daylight headlight HID retrofit question?

Did a search here and did not find my exact question but know it's somewhere cause it was an issue.

Anyways I am prob. gonna get some aftermarket headlights and I wanted to make the daylight bulbs HID's. I heard there was a flicker issue cause of the auto sensor. I want to bypass this and have both lights on at once. The HID will also have the High beam regular bulb as well so I don't have to lose it.

Seems like it should be possible but I know it's been done before but not sure about on an RX. Any solutions? Pics?

These are the LS600H style ones I am thinking of getting.

On the 600H

Thanks!

Just and update. Getting a deal on these big time. Still not 100% sure I want to get them. Still sending off questions.

But I found out it's just about splicing some wires and I can get the low beams switched to HID's full time no issue.

Just not sure if these headlight are really gonna look good on the car...

They look good on the 460. The thing about your car, you already have so many mods that these lights won't stick out like they might on a plain jane RX. With your body kit and chromies, they will look like they belong.

What do you think?

Yes that is possible you are right. I do not want it to look strange though. The three projectors might just be too strange for me. Good thing though. I can sell it here if they do not work out for me hahaha.

The headlights would stand out and not in the best way IMO on a plain jane RX. It's not subtle enough to pull off. It would fit more with a modded RX like yours, kinda blend into the whole picture. They look similar to the LED headlights I have so I'm partial

Yes, they're so sexy I had to have them

Are you still on the fence? I'm sure you could pull it off.

^^^ yes still on the fence. But yours are independent led projectors. These are just a nice looking mold that uses the one Hightower beam HID.

I have HID headlights (oem projector hids) HID fog lights and HID high beams on my RX. I had to disable the DRL so it would not short out the HID high beams. I have no issues with my setup whatsoever, but when the light switch is on "AUTO" or "OFF" then there is NO light from the front of the car. If you would like a writeup on how to do this (disable DRL so you can use HID) let me know.

Thanks that would be great! But I am not sure if I understand why you needed to do anything at all on the set up your describing? I have HID's in the fogs as well with no mods to the DRL.

I needed to mod the DRL (daytime running lights) because my HID High-Beams would burn out if I left the DRL module alone. This has nothing to do with the fogs, I just so happen to have HID fog, high, and low (total of 6 bulbs and ballasts) When the DRLs are on the car is only supplying 6volts to each light as opposed to 12volts when you activate the high beams (which is required for the HIDs to fully operate) HID ballasts will not turn on at 6volts. If I am not explaining this very well just let me know... I'm not always the best at describing what I am thinking in text
