so my brother was driving my car last night and it was raining like crazy and he hit a curb broke the rim so i ended up changing the rim and bam spindle is bent
so my question is i found used from junk yards but some are from a highlander 2004-2005 would it fit? and any other ideas would be very helpful

If you wanted the part right away what you did would probably have been your best best. However, you did not mention what year you had and which wheel was damaged -- front or rear.
Looks like you paid top dollar. Sewell would have been one place to go using the club's discount. Next, eBay has a few listed. NAPA also carries the same. Only the latter may have been quickly available to you. The rest would have had to be shipped to you.

Then again, hopefully your brother is picking up the tab for the parts. So, new and OEM is better. Add a new wheel and a tire or two (if AWD you need to replace both on that axle) and that drive of his gets very expensive.
