Default Question re: suspension in RX 350

I own a 2007 Lexus RX 350 and would like to look at some way of increasing the cornering ability of this SUV. I have the stock 17 inch wheels on my RX 350, so i know a set of 18's would likely help somewhat.

What recommendations would you have in terms of:

1. rims/rubber
2. sway bars (front/rear)
3. bushings
4. any other suspension modification

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't want to turn this into an autocross SUV, but would enjoy less body roll!

18s with 245/55/18 tires seem to be a good compromise without having to use spacers or have rubbing issues. That size also keeps your speedo reasonably accurate. H&R or Eiebach sport springs put it about 1.5 inches closer to the ground and flatten the corners considerably.

You can get as crazy as you want but those two mods seem to give the most bang for the buck without destroying the ride completely.

I installed the TTE springs from Sewell and changed the sway bar bushings to urethane and Voila. Feels like a new car. Ride stiffened just slightly but cornering MUCH improved. My wife loves it now.

Where did you find urethane bushings and the springs from? Online stores or local dealerships/stores?

I bought the last set of springs Sewell had on closeout for $95 and the bushings are from Energy Suspension and I got those online. Various sellers have them. You'll have to measure your bushings and go to Energy's catalog and find bushings that will fit correctly. If I remember correctly, the rear sway bar is 15mm and the front is 23mm. Hope that helps.
