RX Mark Levinson ML Speaker Replacement
Hi,
I have a 2008 RX400h with normal lexus speakers. I have to say, they sound pretty bad, considering this is a premium vehicle. Does anyone know where i can find a Mark Levinson set?

One thing you can do is to get an ML speaker set as if you had an ML set up (must say I reaqlly do not know is this is feasible, but why not check it out). Check out Sewell, they have the parts list, you can find almost all the parts for our car.
Or go aftermarket.
Good luck.

I do know that the ML has some speaker cutouts that are not in your vehicle. My son has an ML sound system in his RX and I don't think it is really that great. I my opinion you would do better with an aftermarket option.

Driver125, welcome to CL.
I'd go aftermarket. It'll probably be cheaper in the long run. There are a few brands that you can drop right in like JL Audio. I had them in my 330 and they fit perfectly. Sounded great too. I'm sure others will chime in with their recommendations.

Keep in mind that even if you upgrade your speakers, your factory radio won't be able to produce good EQ sound. It's like adding good intake and 2 exhaust pipes on a 110hp car, no noticeable performance.
You'll need the JL cleansweep if you don't want the factory radio replaced with an aftermarket unit. Amping your new speakers will maximize it's potential too.
Also, you can chose any speaker brand as long as you know what speaker size your doors have.
If your local car audio shop has a demo, it would make your choices better.

^Sup Nitz!!! It does sound a lot better on mine. Crisps and clean mids and highs, clean and smooth bass. The installer doesn't know how to calibrate after they were done, I had to make all the tweeking to balance things out.
Driver125, if you planned on having an installer, make sure you get oriented to the devices so you can tweak your sound to your taste. And once you have the speakers, use moderate volume to break-in your speakers.

Thanks Guys! haven't been on here for a while... will definitely look in to the JK audio replacements. I don't want a louder sound, but a more crisp one with real bass, not chopped noise coming out vibrating plastic.
