Agreed! I'm surprised this is even a recall. Especially considering the time that has expired on the covered vehicles. There have been far worse issues with other cars/manufacturers where the company will not even acknowledge the issue let alone issue a recall for it.

Perhaps Toyota/Lexus is trying to tell me something.
<sarcasm> My headlights are not as bright as they should be due to the moisture that is constantly present inside the lenses. So, with my nighttime vision impaired when I am driving those back roads I need to be all the more careful because if something were to require me to use my brakes in an emergency I would not be sure if I hit the brakes whether or not the floor mat or other carpet piece would be in the way of the brake pedal. Or, perhaps if those were clear the brakes would fail due to the brake booster problem. And, let us just forget about trying to swerve out of the way as there is a good chance the power steering may not be up to the job either. </sarcasm>

That was pretty funny! I had to laugh at that one.

Sadly, not far from the truth. Leaving for PA this weekend. Time to go hunting. Inspected everything and it looks OK for the trip. Still, I am getting tired of having to go back to the dealer for these things. Would have the folks at Thompson handle the job while in the area, however, they are not prepped for the recall at this time.

Thanks, all. Yes, am very familiar with the route and perils. Have run this route many times and even know the regular places for gas and food along the way. Do not use a radar detector. Am very casual with my speed and am in no rush. Not worried about the VA cops and I always am sure to carry my "Get Out of Jail Free" card with me.
Consider MD to be worse. Have seen speed traps in MD that will blow your mind, such as on an exit ramp.
Will have my cellular hot spot with me so I will have an eye you guys (and gals).
Remember, Veteran's Day tomorrow, November 11.
