I found a 2005 RX330 with 97k miles for 15k. Has AWD NAV and clean carfax and good service records.

Should I go for the 05 and save 4500?

Not necessarily. Did it have the timing belt, water pump, seals, gaskets and other assorted parts replaced yet? You also are looking at a difference of a few years in resale value. How long do you think you will own this? Which of the two RX do YOU like better? That has to come into play.

If you need us to validate your purchase you probably should keep looking until you find something that tells you to buy it.

If no, than what's the big difference between it and Type IV?
Who are all these people who can look at tranny fluid and know it is still good? Just because something "looks" good does not mean it is still protecting. I will have a chemical analysis on mine and change it when and if needed.
