Finally completed this over the weekend. Few places where you can get stuck:
1. Wiper removal. Save yourself the hassle and get a wiper removal tool. Make sure it's one that fits our wipers. There is simply no way I can imagine doing this job without removing the wiper assembly.
2. Swiveling, ratcheting wrench, 12 mm for 2007 models to remove the bolt of doom. otherwise, don't bother.
3. Remove all bolts securing the rear wiring harness to have room to wiggle the coils out.
4. Bonus:
replace Manifold and throttle body gaskets!
Clean the throttle body, clean any gunk/ oil particles that's visible in the intake manifold and engine.
clean the MAF, replace the engine air filter, check condition of hoses. Some of mine are starting to get brittle and crack
My plugs were ready for changing and two had some cruddy residue on the threads that smells funny.
Thanks so much for the writeup. This thread, vchans instructions for wiper.removal and ponyos video made this daunting effort more bearable.

Another view of the connector on the left side of the intake manifold.[/QUOTE]
Is this connector important? What does it do? I noticed mine was chewed off today however I haven’t had any problems? Should I be worried?

Here's a brief explanation of the purpose of it. It's not a big deal if it's disabled, but you may lose some power down in the low RPM range. Apparently on newer 3rd gen RX350s, it is even less effective (That is the #3 intake manifold he is referring to, our cars have the #1). 3MZ cars have it too, and it serves the same purpose and operates similarly to the 2GRs.
