Default A/C Filter?

Hey may sound like a dumb question and ill completely admit that I am ignorant on somethings. Anyway, is an A/C filter teh same as the in cabin filter? Dealer says i need a new AC filter and want $90. I replaced in cabin filter myself for $20. Is this same part

Thanks

Well as far as I know, its the same thing. You know where its located right? Behind the glove box. Piece-O-cake to do. Sometimes they call it the A/C filter.

good to know, because i just bought the air filter and in-cabin filter from autozone thinking that there was still another ac filter to replace. Hopefully, it helps get rid of the smoking smell left by the previous owner.

Anyone know any other ways of getting rid of the smell from someone that use to smoke cigs in the car?

Default Cabin Filters

You can get the Fram Fresh Cabin Filters from Amazon for 14 dollars. Buy a couple of them and shipping is free.

The second gen RX350 is CF10157.

Oh man, the smoking smell is a tough one, I have heard that you can get an ozone treatment, but I just cleaned everything a couple of times on one of my vehicles, and eventually the smell will subside.....

There are two air filters on the RX. The cabin Air Conditioner Filter and the Engine Air Filter. Your post refers to the Engine Air Filter, all the others above yours refers to the Cabin Filter. Here is a link to a YouTube video that details the changing of the Engine Air Filter.
