Default new front brakes 08 fwd

Dealer installed front brakes 295.00 $ at 65,000 miles..Is the mileage about par for the course for fronts..Dealer says back should go another 10,000 miles..This is mostly in city driving...

Agreed, decent price for sure at Lexus. It is important if you dont get your brakes done at Lexus, that your local mechanic uses Lexus pads and saves the caliper shims. other wise you and/or the mechanic are on the hook for new shims.

I replaced 08 front pads myselves and I used 3rd party pads for about $30. The pads came with everything you need for installation. It has been one year and 12k miles now for the new pads and it woorks great. Oh, I didn't replace teh rotor because it was basiclly new and has plenty thicknedd left at $45K miles.

I would stick with OEM pads.....piece of mind.

Not bad.
I've ordered front and rear rotors with painted hubs and vent fins (to prevent rust) from tirerack.com for $250 (delivered) and bought premium ceramic pads from Autozone (came with lube and harware) for $90. Not a bad DIY project for a weekend (took me 4 hours while sipping on a few coronas).
