I have always replaced belts/hoses myself, but my wife's rx350 does a great job of hiding the belt. I would appreciate any tips on the easiest way to access the belt to change it. As a second question, I am under the impression that the Rx 350 has a timing chain, not a timing belt---will someone please confirm that for me. Thanks to anyone who can help!

do the rx and gs have the same engine compartment design? would the instructions be the same? from looking at the rx compartment, i don't think just by removing the plastic shroud i will be able to access the belt very well. if i had to guess, i would think i might have to go thru passenger wheel well.
