Default New owner of 2006 RX 330

Hi, I wanted to say hi to everyone in this forum. I am a new owner of this vehicle and the first lexus in my life. I wanted to know why this is happening to me after 2 weeks of owning this 2006 lexus rx 330. so I bought my car 2 weeks ago and now today i am experiencing some hard time with this dashboard lights turning on.

I have a RX330 and the warbing lights periodically come on all at same time....

The warning lights ABS,Low tire press., Brakes,Trac off,Vsc come on periodically and clear when the ignition is turned off. No codes show up at the dealership? Any answers??
thanks,

I bought the extended warranty for another 3 years or 36k miles which ever comes first.

How should I deal with this situation? apprecited the help and information.

p.s. my 2006 lexus i had purchased is only 42k miles.

Welcome to Club Lexus. This sounds like a defective brake switch and has been discussed here before. I did a search using the key words "brake switch". Here are two threads out of dozens:

This is a common problem and easily repaired. Any competent shop can take care of this for you. Does not even need to be a Lexus shop. A Toyota shop or a quality independent shop will more than likely be much cheaper than taking it to Lexus.

so do you think its the brake switch that is bad or the alternator?

More likely brake switch. As the URLs that Rainbird provided to you point out, this is not a new problem. If it makes you feel any better you can take your car to the shop and have your battery and alternator tested. When the battery starts getting weak weird things start happening, however, when the dash lights up like you have mentioned it has usually turned out to be the brake switch causing the problem.

I see where you mentioned that you have an extended warranty. Regardless of the problem, let the dealership find the problem and fix it. Should not cost you anything depending on what extended warranty you purchased.

This brake switch is a simple fix. Even Lexus shouldn't charge over $100 to replace this. If that is the case you will pay for the full cost of repair. Remember, it is also possible that something else could be causing this.
