Has anyone towed a caravan with a RX 330 ??
I am looking at towing a caravan and want to know if an Aux transmission oil cooler is required to be fitted ?

There is a general consciences on this board that the RX330 is not a good tow vehicle. Most people who do tow use it only for light trailers with ATV's or dirt bikes. Lexus has the max tow weight set at 3200 pounds. A trailer tow package is also necessary with the transmission cooler. What is the weight of the Caravan?

3500lbs. With a tongue weight of 300-350lbs.

just my two cents, and only personal preference, but even though there is some room to spare built in, i'd prefer never to come close to towing limits. i'd rather spend the money and rent a truck with better towing capacity than put the wear and tear on my RX. i also have a pathfinder rated at 3500#'s and @ 2500#'s of loaded trailer it's not something i;d ever want to drive a lot of miles. if you're going to push the tow limit don't forget to check you brakes. also, if you are doing a lot of towing, i believe you get can after market rear shock/struts where you there is a fitting so you can add air to it and raise the rear end. the more tongue weight you have the lighter the front end gets in comparison and it's a completely different driving feel. adding air into shocks raises the rear to counter the tongue weight.
