2006 RX400H with Kenwood RX82, and Axxess ASWC1
After much reading and research I wanted to share my experience with aftermarket install replacing Mark Levinson (11 speaker system) factory radio.
Leverage online manuals from vendors (typical up to date), as well YouTube has videos to show basic radio installation (wiring 'how to's' are not posted yet).
Some key things:
-The Beat Sonic RX-82 leverages the front left and right speaker output leads from aftermarket radio

-Using the Beat Sonic RX-82 plug and play wiring harness will result in loss of steering wheel controls, leverage Axxes ASWC or ASWC-1
http://www.axxessinterface.com/steer...ntrol_new.aspx
-Important: Prior to removal of the factory radio, ensure you have balance (right and left), fader (front and rear) set to the way you like to listen to respective speakers. When using Mark Levinson amp (to drive existing 11 speakers), the amp retains last settings/adjustments from the factory radio being removed.
-Important: To enable steering wheel controls (ASWC-1), do not use wiring harness provided by Beats Sonic RX-82. Instead, wire direct to the vehicle harness (only 3 wires) see Axxess Instructions.
Overall, I am pleased the kit provided is very slick, brings my 2006 into current state capabilities with new head unit. I have everything working:
-HD radio,
-DVD,
-Navigation, including retention of factory Navigation
-Satellite Radio, I integrated existing Sportster external tuner
-Bluetooth integration which introduces a multitude of media options when pairing with external devices (Pandora, Aha, Google music, etc)
Including Pics, attached
I did have to go to Howe's Audio and Video to help with trouble shooting ASWC-1, they figured out the conflict between ASWC and RX-82 steering wheel harness.

Hey Currency, I purchased this same set up except with pioneer HU. I havent gotten around to installing them, they've been sitting in the closet for about 2 months. I have the HU's harness installed to the RX82 which was a breeze. But my question lies in the bluetooth.
Did you run your HUs bluetooth mic or is there any way to tap into the existing mic? I'd rather use the existing one if at all possible.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hey currence1, I'm just curious as to what conflict between ASWC and RX-82 steering wheel harness did you encounter? I have a similar setup and I just used the ASWC from Metra, but I went ahead and manually programed it, because the track forward and skip ahead was two separate functions.
