Everyone: Why did you buy a Lexus?

My Rodeo was recalled in 2011 (Frame rusted. Would not even let me have it back. Garaged kept, 75,000 miles.) We normally keep cars for 10+ years so wanted somthing dependabale. We went to local Toyota dealer to look at a Rav. Drove it and it was ok. They had a 2008 Rx so we tried that too. My wife loved it. We didn't like the color. (Light blue) but my wife found a certified 2008 with 22k on it at another dealer out of town.

Lexus Champion
I bought my first car, a Camry, because it reliable, not ugly, and practical.
However I gave it up after 10 months because I felt myself wanting something fancier, smoother, quieter, and more powerful. I was highly influenced by a friend's recent purchase of an ES300.
When I saw my ES330 in white pearl on a beige interior in mint condition for sale, I jumped on it quickly, without even comparison shopping.
Very happy with the ES330 as a car, although browsing these forums makes me want an RX more and more because of utility. The RX is next on my list .

Always wanted one and it was time to upgrade a SATURN! I was leary about buying a Ford, GM, or Chrysler, though that's what my wife was interested in. Found an RX330 with 80K on it that was well maintained at the dealer (service records in hand) .
The car not only LOOKS newer, DRIVES newer, has EVERY option we could ever want, it was also LESS expensive than many of the other cars we looked at (probably because of the 'high' mileage. And....because we live so close to Denver (large international airport) - I'd say 80% of the cars on the lots in town are used rental cars with sketchy history and a plethora of crazy drivers.
I feel like even with 80k miles, it is still pretty new for a Lexus and my wife barely pulls off 10k miles a year... it should last a long time! Plus, she looks pretty damn good driving it and my baby girl is pretty safe in it too.
