Airbag Light
Searched the forum, not much info found.
I have a problem with Airbag light - it blinks in the dashboard. The dealer turned it off twice (by connecting their computer) but it came back again. I'm pretty sure (and the dealer thinks the same) the problem is related to wiring because the light does not blink sometimes. And, when it does not blink, sometimes it starts blinking again, especially when I drive fast and make a "sharp turn" (hope that makes sense).
So far, I only know the faulty airbag is in the driver's seat (the dealer told me so). Since they turn the light off and it comes back again later, they suggest me leaving the car in the service, so they can remove the driver's seat and check the issue.
Someone had a similar problem and can tell me aprox cost?

Any page with the exact info (so I will know what to tell to the dealer)? Google didn't help much.
P.S. I'm outside US, not sure if we have the same type of warranty here

Perhaps the Seat Slide Position Sensor or the Occupant Detection Computer...

However, like many of these types of gremlins it is hard to pin down without the right test equipment and even then it is a long drawn out process of elimination. Dealers will normally not give a price on the repair as they do not know how long it will take to find the problem let alone what part(s) will need replacing if any at all. Could simply be just a loose connection. Then, they could think they have addressed the problem only for the light to come back on for you 5 miles after leaving the shop. If it were a warranty repair they might replace multiple parts at one go to include the airbag itself and hope that solves the problem, however, if you are paying for the repair that would be very expensive.
If the Airbag light is coming on then that means there is a signal being sent to turn it on. What is that error code and what is responsible for sending it?
