Just sharing my hacksawed socket. Size is perfect for my 2005 rx330 awd.

That little bit of socket remaining was enough to break the bolts.

I just changed the transfer case & rear differential oil in my 2004 RX330. The fill plug in the transfer case is labeled "85W-90 GL-5". So I used the following oil and tools:
- 85W90 Hypoid Gear Oil (1 Liter) - Liqui Moly (3 bottles) - https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/85w...ro-moly-lm1035 . Ended up using a bit more than 2 bottles. Liqui Moly is a German brand made in Germany.
- 24mm 3/8" drive shallow socket (
Amazon Amazon
)
- flex head 3/8" ratchet (https://www.harborfreight.com/38-in-...het-62333.html)
- 3/8" drive universal joint, 2 3/8" drive 6" socket extensions (1 12" might work also)
- 3/8 in. Drive 10 mm Hex Bit Socket
- fluid pump (
Amazon Amazon
)

With these right tools, it made the job much easier. The 2 rear different bolts are easy to remove. There's very little room around the transfer case's fill bolt.
However using the universal joint + the socket extensions, it was so much easier. The flex head ratchet also helps. Just make sure the socket is fully seated before you tighten or loosen the bolts to minimize any chance to round the heads.

The pump cap does not fit the bottle's opening but that's ok. Just remove the telescopic pouring tube from the bottle and insert the pump's tube.

It went very well for me without any problem. Hope this will help those who want to tackle this job on their RX330's.
