K&N Air Filter
My shop told me my air filter needed replacing so I ordered a new K&N but I could not get the air box back together. The two clips are in, the front bolt is in but cannot seat the rear bolt so it's floating .
Any tips on getting this air box back together?

I did get the rear in first then the front and tightened it down but realized the hinges of the airbox cover were not locked down. After removing the filter about ten times thinking t wasn't seated properly I finally got the two left side hinges in and the front clip and front bolt in but the rear was about 1/4" off. I got tired after fighting with this thing for over two hours and gave up for today and will get at it again tomorrow. It doesn't feel like much of a gap in the rear so I hope it doesn't throw off the sensors.

The K&N has a really thick rubber seal on pared to the OEM. The K&N is seated well all around but I'm guessing its the thickness of the rubber rim around the filter that makes it difficult to seal. It's really tough to get pictures in there, the space is very very tight.

I'd bet it did. Either that or you are not seating the filter and box cap properly.
