I just stumbled upon this thread, but if I read it correctly, these 921's will replace the backup/reverse bulbs on an '04 RX 330? I can't see squat in my car because of the tint.

Or is it these? http://www.taninautoelectronix.com/T...-p/t20_led.htm

thanks!

I believe the 2004 uses the 7440 reverse lights. 2005+ uses the 921

I think you're right. I edited my post. Sorry. So it would be the T20 7440 that I linked in my edited post above?

thanks for the quick response!

Thanks, ordering a few today! I assume these are plug-n-play for lack of a better phrase? No mods or anything?

Yes. They only work one way in the socket so if it doesn't work flip it 180 degrees.

My owners manual says Back ups are 921. The Rear side markers are 194, License Plate, Tail Lights, Front Side Marker and Parking Lights say 168. Your site says 921 CREE and T10 168 192 194 for the others. Does that sound right. If yes, I'm buying shortly.

I actually pulled the manual after you posted and my car, the '04 lists:
-------------------bulb no W Type
Back-up lights 921 18 F

Good to know. Then the 2004 and older are also 921.

As TaninAuto and others have pointed out previously here on CL, the Sylvania site is a good one to research what bulbs you need as replacement in addition to whatever you see in the Owner's Manual.

Got my bulbs today but the bulbs for reverse don't fit in the socket completely. Seems like they will fall out on the first bump. Any suggestions. I got the 921 bulb.

Follow-up. Spoke with Jason at TaninAuto. They are coming out with a smaller LED that'll fit. The longer one did fit in my Ford and look great.

Sorry to drag a half year thread back. I wish I'd read this earlier. Just this week I added LED strips above the license plate to brighten up the reverse lighting for the camera. It works great, I can now see what's behind me as I back into the driveway. But the direct plug-n-play bulbs would have been less hassle for me.
