Default My fuel mileage is terrible!

Okay, I know it`s cold out. I do some short trips, and some 10 mile jaunts. But 15.1mpg!? On Premium fuel? What gives??

Short trips, cold temps, open loop for much longer, all of the oils are thicker, dense air, and of course the almighty winter blend fuel.

How's the tire pressure? I know you're a fellow Bitoger, so I'm sure you're on your game with that but doesn't hurt to ask.

It should hopefully go up soon though, I believe winter blend fuel starts to go away in March.

Well considering this has bee the relentless Winter from Hell! I hear ya re; winter blend fuel, tp etc. But my RX300 never dipped that low. Same driving conditions too. Never went below 17mpg. Just don't get it hypervish. New plugs, I keep after the air box air flow meter thing or what ever that is. aif filter etc. Oh, Im going to the dealer today for my second replacement radiator in 4 years! Only has 50k on this rad. and leaking again. Same place too. Keep in mind this was supposed to be a new radiator when it was replaced.

The RX330 is heavier and does have a bigger engine (although not by much). I hear ya though.

Did you install mesh screen in front of the radiator/condensor? Or is it leaking from elsewhere? That is disappointing. I'm still on my original rad.

the a/c condenser is okay yet. This is the Engine coolant radiator.

I thought there was some of the radiator exposed under the condenser. Maybe not.. I haven't looked too closely at the RX330.

Not all premium is equal some use more ethanol than others. Costco Gas is usually one of the best. Also maybe you should try a tank of Non Ethanol gas here is the link for the O/P
http://pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=PA
Be sure to buy Premium and check your mileage. Just a thought.

I've been getting the same mpg. It's been cold as ever here in NJ. It's snowing every couple of days ect. My RX is awd too. What's your 300 awd? I'm ecru ally happy with my mpg for my wife that only does quick short trips in town. I've only had the car for 2 weeks and I was hoping for 17 but maybe when it warms up ill get that. It's better then the 10mpg she was getting in her 05 grand Cherokee v8 lol.

My 330 is also awd. I like the vehicle very much, and as hypervish knows. I was all set to trade in on a 2011 fully loaded GMC Terrain. But I didnt because I really like the refinement of the Lexus. As well as being treated so well by the Lexus dealership I have. They gave me a 2013 Toyota Camry for a loaner because they simply ran out of Lexus loaners. Camry SE 4cyl. and it`s getting me almost 30MPG`s!!!!

One of the benefits of a family owned and run business instead of some corporate entity. Thompson has been in Doylestown for ages. They actually care about their customers.

Thanks for posting this link. I thought E10 was all that was available in my area but it turns out there are plenty of stations that sell non ethanol fuel.

Good dealer. I'm expecting mileage to go up slightly when the weather breaks and my wife isn't warming the car up for 10-15min in the morning.
