2005 RX330 Keyfob/Alarm Question
Hi all,
I had my rx330 in the body shop a couple of weeks ago, and after I picked it up I noticed that my alarm notifies by chirp and lights flash when DISarming using the keyfob, but not when arming it. I verified that the doors were indeed locking when I press arm on the keyfob, but why no chirp and light flash? I did also go back through the (14 step!) procedure to reprogram the remote, but still no change in performance. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Welcome to Club Lexus, gronkin!
This is one of the MANY settings that can be changed on your vehicle. However, changing these settings requires TIS (Toyota Information Servies) Techstream. I HIGHLY recommend searching for TIS Techstream online; the site that shares its name with the great Brazilian river will work to your favor. Alternatively, you could take your vehicle to your Lexus dealer, and they can change this setting for you. However, expect the dealer to charge for this.
