2 tire balance charge !!
Stopped by my local Toyota dealer to buy some ATF for our 2004 RX330. While there I thought I'd get the 2 rear wheels balanced. I was in total shock when they quoted me $70.00.
I mean, seriously, $35.00 per wheel. A large tire retailer, not from them, charges $10.00 per.

It sure does, however I repeated to the SA that it was for balance only and she repeated the price.
Thanks for that link, there are a number of TR recommended installers in my area.
Just out of curiosity, I'm going to call the nearest Lexus dealer (much further away) tomorrow and see what they quote.

Another thing you might check for is a shop with a Hunter GSP9700:

I did notice in the TR recommended installers that a few of them stated Road Force.
Thanks for the links. Ironically, Toyota of Huntington, L.I. (above mentioned dealer) has that equipment.

They can charge a bit extra for that service, however, the rate seemed a bit high to just balance, IMO. The Firestone Complete Auto Care I purchased my Alenzas from has one of these. They balanced my tires with it new and I have not had a problem since in some 50K miles. I also have a lifetime alignment with them as well. Like to keep my tire and alignment with the same shop if possible so there is no finger point in these regards. They are listed with Tire Rack so I can go with a different brand should I want to go that route.
