RX330 preview in NYC
Lexus of Manhattan showed an RX330 on 2/11/03. It had the 17" wheels -- one of the salesmen told me that ONLY 17" -wheel models will be sold in Manhattan. Apparently it's understood that 18" wheel /low-profile tires will not be helpful in the snowy northeast. However, this also means that the whole package (air-suspension, Adaptive Front Lighting) will not be available in NYC since Lexus bundles it all together, for some strange reason.
Now we're asking ourselves: why get a car that's more expensive, a lot harder to park (6" longer) and doesn't offer any really compelling new features?
PS -- Lexus serves great food!!

I doubt it.
Guys,
unless this situation is like the GS Platinum series screw up that the NE regional reps made in 2000, my guess is that you will still be able to order a car with 18 and the other new features.
edit:
I just got off the phone with the GM of Lexus of Manhattan...it appears that you may have gotten incorrect information or misunderstood.
In the NE region ONLY 18" optioned RX330's will be available.

I guess there's a lot of confusion about what will or will not be available, and when. Two different salesmen at Lexus of Manhattan told me that only 1% of the 330's will have the air suspension and the adaptive headlight features.
Noone is arguing about the length issue. Both salesmen agreed immediately that 6 inches longer in Manhattan is a real downer.
