Default 2009 - RX350 Rusted bolt on door handle

Starting to see rust underneath all 4 door handles. dealer says its a nut inside that is causing the rust. I've bought the new nuts from them.

Does anyone know how to take off the door handle to install the new nuts? Do i have to take the panel off?

EDIT: I got the door panel and everything off, and guess what? I cant take off that screw because the rusted nut is completely stuck onto the screw...

any ideas on how to get that rusted nut/screw off?

Yes. You'll have to pull the door panel to get to the back of the handle. Leave the switches for the windows plugged in if you can. You might have to raise or lower the window to get access to the nuts.

Door panels are pretty much a one way fit, chances to break a plastic clip or to tear the plastic lining glued to the door is good. Buy this stuff beforehand if you don't want a halve loose panel or dust and damp entering the mechanics of the window lowering mechanism etc.

i cant seem to get the top of the door trim off... i took out all the screws, the clips are all off... but the top part of the door trim seem to be stuck or glued or something. i've tried using quite a bit of force with no luck... any idea whats going on? i've already checked out the diy for the door trim removal but they seem to take off the door trim easily while im having issues taking the top part of it off.

**edit: the panel was stuck very tight, used a lot of force before it came off. luckily didnt break anything. now im stuck with the problem of the rusted nut that wont come off... out of ideas at the moment...

can you fit a socket on it? the pic is blurry and hard to see any flats on the nut.
