I have speaker information for 2004 RX330 models at home. I am on the road right now so I cannot access the info. I am not sure if they changed the speakers between 2004 and 2006.

Neither system on the 2004 models had a sub-woofer. Both stock and ML used 6x9 woofers in the front doors. The impedances were different between stock and ML.

I can provide location, size and impedance info (based on 2004 models) next week if desired.

Default 2004 RX330 Speaker Sizes

Source for the following is the Lexus 2004 New Car Features Manual RX330.

Standard stereo speakers

Location. Type. Size. Impedance. Power (max)

A pillars. Tweeter. 3.5 cm. 4 ohms. 21W. (50W)

Dash. Squawker. 6.5 cm. 4 ohms. 21 W (50W)

Front door. Woofer. 6x9 in. 2 ohms. 33 W (83W)

Rear door. Full range. 16 cm. 4 ohms. 21 W (50W)

One critical dimension this publication does not list is the depth. In the doors a depth deeper than about 3 inches could interfere with the windows.

Hope this helps.

Aloha, Joe

On the Second generation RX models(330,350,400H) from 2004-2009 all the speaker sizes are the same. There is no subwoofer in any Second generation RX. The bass comes from the two front doors. They are 6x9 inch speakers/midbass drivers. The rear doors are 6.5" full range speakers. The dash speakers are 2.5" and are commonly called midrange speakers. The 'A' Pillars have a 1" tweeter. When you start shopping for speakers dont use the term 'cm' because no one is going to know what you are talking about. Just ask for 6x9s and 6 and a half inch components. Stereo shops will understand that terminology. All four door speakers are held in with rivets. They will have to be drilled out and a 3/4" MDF wood baffle will have to be made for all four doors. Add Dynomat sound dampening material as well. This is the best and only way to install speakers. But if you want to do a 'Hack Job" on your Lexus, then just cut the original speaker out and mount your new speaker in the black plastic housing that remains. Everyone does this even though its not a professional way to do it. I have worked on many of RX models. Let me know if you have any more questions. notwcaraudio101@gmail.com Juan
