Just got remote start installed. Quick issue

take it back to the shop who installed it.
they are easy to mess up, many shops use crimp connectors instead of soldering it (make sure its soldered)
i used to install them, and the main unit on them can be bad right out of the box.

For the auto off feature on the lights to initiate the following things have to happen....The engine needs to be turned off, at least one door needs to be opened, and all the doors then have to be closed. Once that happens, the lights will delay 30 seconds and then turn off. If a door is never opened and closed then the lights will stay on. So if you remote start the car and then the remote start turns off the car but a door was never opened and closed, then the lights won't turn off.

I have the Viper 5704V in my wife's RX350 and Clifford Matrix 50.5x in my Avalon.
Both does the same thing above. I had the sunshade up with "Auto" on, remote started and stopped the car, door never opened/closed, 3 hours with the headlights stayed on and a dead battery. Lesson learned, a couple of trips to Costco for a new battery and NEVER use the AUTO feature again.
