Ever heard of lifetime oil filters
After trying a K & P steel oil filter on a racing engine, a friend of mine is now enthusiastic about them, and is thinking to use them on all his cars.
Personally, I have zero experience on them, but since I must change the engine oil shortly, I thought to ask here if anyone knows how they work on our engines....
By the way, browsing the web on this topic, I also found a similar thing named PurePower.
I am attaching below the links to both, showing the filter model which as I understand would be fine for both the 330 and the 400.
Thanks in advance for your views!

they appear to be alright for daily drivers. sure seems like alot of work at each oil change though. and youwould have to replace the gasket every couple oil changes.
biggest deterent for me is the shear cost. the first link was around 150ish, the second was 250. plus shipping, plus gaskets every so often,
for those reasons, ill stick with the OEM for 8-12 bucks every 6- 12 months.

Actually it would be cheaper in the long run with oem. I buy cases of toyota oem filters on ebay that average out around $3/filter. I change oil every 7500 miles (blackstone labs checked and recommended). It is still cheaper to 250k miles if i started at 0 miles.

Yeah, I don't disagree that it hardly makes economic sense.
But according to their claims, aside from being reusable, it should actually perform better (keeping oil cleaner, for longer, and with a less restricted flow).
I was wondering more about all that, rather than the cost effectiveness alone.
Good idea re. BITOG forum anyway, I'll have a look around there...

My dad's company used to own and race in the CASCAR series.
For racing engines, this is perfect, it has very low oil pressure loss, so the oil pump will use less hp (power) and save it for the 'racing'. Some may even be a dry sump type.
A typical race engine is probabbly used for a few hours before an oil change, or even a rebuild so that too is not a problem.
The screen also allows you to inspect what contaminates or wear particles are in the engine.
