Also received my letter yesterday. My dash had started cracking above the drivers side AC vent and around the ignition key. The top passenger side was also getting the oily film look to it. I'm in FL but the RX is garaged over 95% of the time- as we have a garage & a garage at work. Will check next week with my local dealer and see if there is a 'list' I can get on to get this taken care of. Had been using a dash cover for the past year...
Well, no letter received yet! I am in Miami and own a 2009RX350, which had the dash changed this past Spring. I am looking forward to getting a refund of the partial payment I made (Lexus having paid the balance).
My dealer replaced the oil cooler pipe at no charge when it blew back in October (RX 350 2007). The same day I took it in, I received the recall notice in the mail. What year do you have?
I have still not received any letter. Does anyone know if it has been posted on-line or on any Toyota or Lexus website?
I still have not received a letter regarding the dash crack issue, I have quite a few cracks on mine. In fact I was even thinking about buying a dashboard cover when I found out about the recall.
Last week I wrote a letter to Lexus. In the letter I provided all of my information including VIN number and explained that I had heard about the recall but have not received the letter.
Two days ago I received an email from Lexus providing a phone number and the name of a person in the customer satisfaction department. I called today and spoke to a live person, she verified that my VIN number falls in the warranty extension of the dashboard and indicated that the dashboard is fully covered under the warranty extension. She also indicated that I am going to receive my letter eventually and collected information of the dealership closest to me and where I would be taking my RX for the dashboard repair. Parts are not expected to be in stock until May 2015.
So be patient, Lexus is collecting information of the Registered Owners from the Department of Motors and Vehicles. Also make sure Lexus has all of your information up to date.
Good work robbyk. It pays to be proactive on these recalls. especially if you have not received the notice. Even more so if you are not the original owner. it appears Lexus now has you covered.
