Another tire question
Im looking for reason not to buy Michelins. I was looking at the Premire AS and the Bridgestone Turraza Serenity tires.
Reading through the threads in my searches I noticed most of the answers came from people in Florida. I'm in the suburbs of chicago where it is cold and snowy 5 months out of the year.
I want to buy now and cannot decide. help me buy a tire.

I just for Bridgestone Dueler Ecopia in the same size. My experience has been that tread wear doesn't last as long as expected on the RX. Might be the car or our location or our driving style.
Looked at the Alenza Plus but ruled it out because of past (road noise) experience with Alenzas (no plus) and the higher mileage warranty, which I expect is due to harder rubber and so noise again. Also LRR ( low rolling resistance) seemed worth a try.
Good luck!

Yeah I pretty much thought the same when I saw the 800 hardness rating too.
I did have a few sets of Alenza's on a Escalade and did not remember the noise but I did remember the wear was not great. I think that was why the "Plus" was developed to extend tire life. I do remember them riding nice.
I guess we will see how they roll on the Lexus RX 330.

They came today. What I was most impressed with was the build date! 5th week of 2015. Tire rack has some very fresh tires. The set was $696 shipped to my door. I also did not realize tire rack is contracted with certain installers at contracted rates. For instance Firestone at certain location was $15.90 per tire mounted, balanced with a new valve stem. All you have to do is ask which shops are close to you. The will give you a list. They will also drop ship them at the location also. I know some of you already know this but I did not and I'm sure there are others who do not realize either.

Quick review of the Bridgestone Alenza plus tires.
Put about 500 miles on them.
Love the tires. They are not noisy at all and feel great. Gas milage did not suffer I was getting 24 MPG on a 35 mile trip into the city last night.
Now I will just need to see how long they are going to last.

put in Bridgestone Dueler H/L 422 Ecopia in 9/2011 when it first got out. It's pretty good, but now 26k miles past, it's worn down to 5/32" according to AT store. I felt it's worn out faster than it should be.
Normal mixed freeway/local driving in CA, 07 RX350 AWD. Does it sound about right?
The store told me the Alenza Plus is now a 80k mi warranty tires. The prev set I had before the Ecopia was the original Alenza, it worn out about 40k miles on 07 RX350 AWD.
I am also looking for a new set, and would like to try another brand/model.
The best SUV tires I had was Michelin LTX M/S in 2000 RX300 AWD. Best tire ever, lasted me 90k mi seriously no joke. Too bad they dont make it in 235/55/18.
