I did not see a gas mileage sticky like in the Third Gen. forum. Just curious what MPG people are getting with highway driving. Please complete the poll and post the below:

My Lexus:

Year: 2007
Mileage: 105K
Tires: Michelin Premier® A/S tires
MPG: Around 27 when doing 65-70 mph ... Around 25 at 75-80 mph ... lower if I have a headwind

2009. I wish I was getting 27. Usually do 65-70 and I get 19-21 mpg. Everything is running tops as I only have 86k but why such a huge variance I wonder?

That is strange ... I run regular gas too ... Here are some things I have different ... I do think tires matter too ... Look at those new Michelin Premier® A/S tires ... In addition ... I have a K & N air filter, Tires inflated to 36 PSI, I have brand new plugs ... ... Here is what I observed ... on average ... no wind and flat surface

65 mph: 26-27
70 mph: 25-26
75 mph: 24-25
80 mph: 23-24

On last thing ... I do not floor it when I am accelerating whenever possible ... Slow accelerations most of the time.

So I got my best thus far. 24.5 mpg @ avg 70mph. Slow starts, no zoom-zoom just cruising.
