moving the post to appropriate location.
Beyond that, please state what recent work or an incident which caused this problem to appear.
Without additional information, it is like asking for a winning lottery combination over the net.

You likely need a new battery. I would get an Optima Yellow Top. They are more expensive but well worth the price.
If it does this while you are driving, then it is likely the alternator.

What year car?
I have a 2004 - if you have that same year, have you ever had the brake switch replaced that was included in a recall? A year or so ago my gauges lost their minds briefly and without much of a pattern and I was able to deduce it was the brake light switch that was under a recall and never replaced. The dealership replaced it for free and I haven't had a problem since.
cheers
