Replacing the shift indicator plate cover?
Hi all,
not sure exactly what this part is called, but the plastic cover plate of the shift indicator on my wife's 2008 RX has holes from the pocket knife on my key chain hitting it.
Any idea how to cheaply replace this? Does it just pop off or something? I only need that piece of plastic, the rest of the shifter assembly is fine.
thx,
- TJ

Yeah, it pulls off. Look at some youtube vids on radio installation on an RX for instructions. I would think one of the online wrecking yard sites would be an easy place to find one. Can't even imagine what that would cost at the dealer!
EDIT: Did mama yell at you for messing up her ride?

Here are links to the brand new part. Cost around $50 dollars. One link is for Japan built RXs and one is for US built. So be sure to look at the label on the driver door jamb to see where your car was manufactured.
