Default 2005 RX330 Rear Replacement Struts Don't Fit

(solved - FWD struts for AWD car)
I ordered rear replacement struts for my 2005 RX330 and received FCS1331785R and FCS1331785R. I removed the right rear strut, and noticed that the replacement doesn't match. The main lower mounting holes are about 3/4" farther apart than on the original part, and the brake line attachment points are in different locations. Any thoughts? I don't have air suspension.

I own a 2004 RX 330 AWD. Happened to me also, twice. They were FCS Quick Struts for the rear. The front worked fine Struts purchased first from 1AAuto and then from Parts Geek . They use their own part # on their web site so did not know I was receiving the same part from each of them. Returned the struts and have been unable to find any other Quick Struts for the rear. I wonder about the longevity of the springs under normal wear. That's why I wanted the quick strut with new spring.

How do u know if you have AWD by looking at cars outside of checking VIN?

The VIN will tell you.

What about the springs on struts. Under normal use do they become weak after say 100,000 miles?

They shouldn't. All of the spring flex should be in the elastic region of the metal, so fatigue shouldn't be a problem.
