Xenon headlight does not light up everytime
My other D1S headlight bulb was fainting but didn't got chance to replace it until it went off totally.
After replacement everything worked normally but after about one week, the replaced bulb does not lit up every-time. I needed to switch light on and off few times to make it work.
And to be more suspicious, now the other bulb has done to same... haven't lit up always.
And couple of times they did it same time, I didn't have headlights in darkness at all
Just bad contacts to bulb or first symptoms of ballasts going to an end?
What solution you can use there to clean contact surface not to mess the light housing?

Sorry I was not clear when writing earlier but I did not do anything to the right side bulb but that developed the same symptoms, won't lit every time.
So left bulb broke, replaced and after that both sides acting not normally.
These xenon bulbs are more stressed this car. When starting the vehicle lights in auto mode, they have to lit up twice.
This car DRL is just headlights on with parking lights, light switch's 1st, 3rd, 4th mode gives the same lights outside.
I would like to have led drls but haven't got time to search how to turn Drl off. I think I need Techstream for that, the procedure is not the sam e as in Us-spec Rx

I'm experiencing the same, however, I replaced both headlights. mostly its the left side but the right side has not lit once or twice. what have you found..
OK, after reading and talking to my service guy at the dealer, he said this is an indicator that the bulb is dying. he added that the "customer assistance" program regarding the condensation has been over for awhile.
I pulled the bulb and found the base of that bulb had been burned and the center electorod had eroded from the bulb body. place a good bulb in and the light works fine

Right side bulb was old bulb working normally, only discoloured.
I bought now new Philips for left side.
And now both bulbs don't turn up always. How it is possible??
Bad bulbs or I need to replace both ballasts.
Ballast replacement seems tricky, and Osram bulbs are not cheap either, although I thought Philips would work.
