Default OEM navigation install, not aftermarket

Hy guys,

I need your help and recommendations regarding installing OEM nav system into my rx330.
.
My friend gifted the whole OEM nav system and I want to install it.
.
Any ideas how to do it? Is it possible to install? (Mine is basic white screen panel)
.
Second question is that, I want to change my wooden trims into silver as it is in RX400H, again, is that possible? can I easily remove the wooden trims and install that silver?

Has anyone done this here?

Thank in advance

I can understand why you want to do this upgrade, but consider this is a 10+ year old nav system that was not too good from the get go.It is klutzy and not user friendly. From a functional standpoint, a smart phone will do so much better! Just tell siri: "Take me to (address) from here!" and you're done.

Actually i agree with you, to speak frankly it looks way better with OEM nav rather than with white panel. I anyway have this system and because that decided to install if it is possible

Sad to say that the retro install of the NAV on the RX330 is a most challenging project. I have looked at the Lexus installation and it is comprehensive. You will have to tear down the whole rear to get your antenna mounted, plus you have to work your cables through the entire cabin.

I would go the route of aftermarket.

My NAV upgrade consisted of an Iphone holder mounted on the windshield and a Bluetooth adapter! Very happy with it.
