Default Air conditioner HVAC help condenser grill

Hi, and thanks ahead in advance for any help as it is highly appreciated.

I successfully replaced my radiator 4 months ago but at the very end i accident nicked the metal condensergril EVER SO SLIGHTLY and it caused a tiny leak and freons or so leaked i guess. My car doesn't blow cold anymore but hot temps are fine. I plugged the whole with metal stop sealant putty for the time being.

I bought this AC recharge kit...artic refill..

i plugged it to the lo side port with the green turn screw and followed all the instructions perfectly.

i couldnt get a tight seal and some sealant came out. hope thats ok but im wondering...

the pressure on the can reader didnt move, does that mean its not working or should i continue with can 2?

I only did this because I thought I would still have to recharge AC after I replace the condenser unit?

Thanks again...also extremely light headed from a/c sealant leak so sorry if poor wording and grammar

usually when recharging ac units you need to turn it on to the max and put the gas while looking at the gauge. And if everything was done properly, it shouldn't leak. Unless you have a bad port and the gas is leaking through that port. I would recommend to get a refrigerant with uv dye so you can check where the leak is coming from.

Thanks for the input.

This cap had a pull and plug design, with no screwing into the LO port and thats where it would just leak from.

Everything on the car is fine and AC never had an issue so i wonder if even then it could still be a bad port.

Thanks again.
