Running speaker wires through door grommet?
Have any of you guys been successful in running aftermarket speaker wires through the door boots? I tried attaching the wire to a cable but the boot is so narrow that only the cable comes out of the other end.
My hands a bruised and sore now from trying to get this damn wire through
Anyone know of an easier way? I mean a method or a different piece of hardware you used?
I think the kicker cable im using is thicker than the normal 16 awg so it doesn't help either.

Sometimes it's easier to run a new hole. You can get an assorted box of grommets from amazon or pick up some at autozone. Just drill a small hole in both the door and frame plug in a couple grommets and your good to go.

Had a brainstorm! I used a cable to run through the grommet to get the wires in but its because the cable was somewhat rigid, did the wires not come through. The wires were controlled by the cable.
What I did was I used the cable to push through a nylon string. I then attached the wires to the nylon string and pull it through within couple of seconds! Since the string hugged the harness, the new wires easily slipped through.
