Hi friends,

My RX330 2004 has Check, VSC and Trac Off light on, what's wrong with the vehicle? How to solve the problems.

Thanks

If you're not sure of the battery's age, I would start there. A weak battery can cause these sorts of symptoms.

Have you read the OBD codes?

like all RX, once a check light gets triggered, VSC will turn on too. You'll need to get the check engine code to figure out the issue. Once the problem has been fix and the check engine light is gone, VSC will turn off too. Most auto parts shop will get the code for you for free.

Default Cel VSC trac off

Just joined...first post.
Friday night cel/VSC/trac off light on simultaneously. Pulled over looked at manual-took off gas cap-appeared on just fine. Car is running perfect, nothing off at all, temp fine. Checked under car for any fluid leaking-0. Drove remaining 3 miles home. Didn't drive Saturday. Sunday A M started car to see if lights still on-yes. Decided to drive like manual said (1-2 time and it will reset if gas cap is issue) got 50 yard from my house and gnarley grinding noise. Drove about 50 feet to open parking at curb and shut off car. Got out and coolant running out from under car. Walked back to house and checked where car had been parked for any leaked fluid...none.and came back 15 minutes later. Coolant reservoir empty and coolant running down gutter. Car towed in Monday end of day. Water pump is history/(was the grinding sound WP bearings) code P0018 cam shaft/crank shaft position. Timing belt not broken but may have been affected?
What the heck? I read that cel is usually emission related and it seems if cel comes it triggers VSC and trac to light up. My car was running perfect right up till that grinding noise. Everything I googled and read in manual said meh -don't worry-get in and have diagnostics run. What do those lights coming on and about 3miles later my water pump seizing and a code P0018 have to do with each other? Car being worked on tomorrow. They said once belts/pump/coolant etc replaced they will rerun diagnostics and hope no valve damage since timing belt may have slipped when pump seized. What I don't get is why check engine light came on. For an about seize water pump? Can't find that anywhere. Was timing belt starting to slip? If so, wouldn't that effect how my car was running or starting? My drive home is up a steep road. Car was running smooth as butter. 😳
2004 Rx330( interference engine)My car had aptm for just 6 days after this happened for oil service/front brakes/timing belt and water pump. Really.
