Ok, I'm starting to get e-mail update on the requests I made through the Lexus website to the dealers. Most are jsut auto responses indicating they will get in touch with me.
However, this is sort of an interesting prospect....little of a drive for me though....gonna wait before I jump though. Here the e-mail I got for $1300. off MSRP!
Thank you for your interest in a New 2004 RX330 and in Pleasanton Automall. I just wanted to make sure you received the information you have requested.
As you know, the list price of the vehicle you requested is $46,808. Your Internet/Fleet price is $45,508. tax, license and documentation ~ Offer good until 5/9/03
Of course, nothing can describe the legendary performance of a Lexus better than driving it. And with the attractive lease and financing programs available through Lexus Financial Services, there has never been a better time to get behind the wheel.
Please let me know if I can be of any further service , or if you would like to come in to test drive the New 2004 RX330 of your choice. Just reply to this email or call (800) 225-7876 to set up an appointment at your convenience.
Sincerely,
Steve Cacela

[B]Congrats on the car and the deal. I think the biggest reason you were able to get the deal you got is because of the configuration. It's a lot harder to get a deal on a AWD w/Nav or Performance. Not impossible, but harder. It's all about suppy and demand.
I agree the configuration I got is definately a lot easier to get discounted. Just like my last RX, I stuck to the same formula. Lucky for me I'll never need AWD in southern ca. Navigation is nice but I know I'll never have a need for it , DVD entertainment would be great if I had kids but for now my two dogs will have to make do with catching the breeze from the back windows, and the performance package on a SUV? I'd be looking at a GS instead. I did get the cargo net thrown in because that is one item I didn't get and definately will use!
I did get the lojac and extended lexus warranty because you never know what might happen in la!

Jedi,
I did purchase my 330 at Pleasanton Auto Mall, but I paid MSRP ($46,808). I did not talk to the Business Development Manager, and just delt with the salestaff. So far I have been impressed with dealership, but wonder if I should have tired to negotiate for a better price when I bought mine. Oh well, I guess that is water under the bridge so to speak. If you can get it for the price they quoted I wouldn't hesitate. Let us know what you decide!

Okay, deal. I will call you Sun or Monday..is that good for you? I see that your near LA? I live in the Sacramento area, which means we would have to agree upon a price BEFORE I drive 8-9 hours. If we could come to an agreement then that would be worth the drive, I would definitely buy from you. On that note, I'll talk to you soon.
Thanks.
Thanks.

It seems one of the best and least hassled way to get a Lexus these days is through the internet sales departments of your local/regional Lexus dealers. You can access any of their sites I believe through Lexus.com.
We recently purchased one of the clearance RX300's at well below invoice. And from what I have seen, the internet sales managers usually just gives you their best possible prices. There's absolutely no pressure. I'm sure you can still try and haggle if you wish. But prior to my wife and I purchasing through the internet, we went the typical way and had to deal with the typical b.s. from your typical salesman.
After we got tired of the their pestering, we went the internet way, including pricing through carsdirect.com. We ended up with a deal we couldn't pass up. Getting quotes was really just a couple clicks away. I'd definitely recommend everyone to at least request a few quotes this way.
