I am new to the forum. I had a 2000 RX 300 with just over 75000 miles and traded about three weeks ago for a new RX 330. With about 1400 miles it went in for the free 1000 mile service. I had three complaints: wheel out of balance at about 65-72, spare tire cover had come loose by itself and a vibration (noise) in the steering wheel which could be stopped by putting your hand on the center (air bag). First two problems were fixed. The third problem requires a new air bag. Had to keep my car and give me a loaner as they are afraid the air bag is faulty. Now on backorder for over a week and no date as to when I will have one. Supposedly none in the US and no ship date from Japan. Anybody have this problem or aware of others.

Sorry to hear about the problems. So far I have had our 330 for about just under 2 weeks and 400 miles and we have not yet experienced any problems. Since we came from rather sporty and firm suspension cars, engine viabration is relative and my wife and I feel the RX is very smooth. Road viabration is also smooth since we are used to rolling on low profile high performance tires. The only item I am watching is for squeeking in the power hatch actuator. Ours is not squeeking yet, but I have a feeling it will after a while since the dealer demo was squeeking. Other than that that RX is holding up very well.

Update on the air bag. Still none in the US, but service manager and general manager agreed to take one from a car on the floor. I am pleased they agreed, but think they should have done it before 1-1/2 weeks had passed. None the less it is a great vehicle.
