Default RX300 2004 Horrible suspension

Hello,

We recently bought the suv, and found the suspension to be a bit lacking, and over the course of the last 3 weeks it's gotten worse. Every uneven bit of tarmac sends you flying. We took it to a lexus dealer, who said it was in very good condition for it's age. They looked it over and said the front bushes were split and leaking oil, in need of replacement. Not knowing a great deal myself, I wanted to ask- would replacing them fix the issue? Or am I looking at the air suspension, suspension strutts etc for a proper fix? Really need to get it fixed soon as it's become pretty undriveable- especially for my wife.

Thanks for any suggestions.

The way you describe your car, it is far from normal. The Lexus dealer sounds like they don't know what they are doing, either. I would suggest you find a place that specializes in suspension and take it there.

Bushings could cause problems, the strut bearings, tie rod ends - lots of things.
