More power, mpg, etc.
probably not because of the expensive battery replacement costs. I will just stick with what i have for awhile. Meanwhile i thought these second gen rx's were supposed to get above 20mpg highway? If so what can i do to get better mpg both city and highway? When I got the rx from the dealer we got it from; they had previously gone through it and said the only things it needed was a oil change which they did plus some other things which i forget what they were. But what can i do to get better mpg?

This is what I did -- 36 psi all around, replaced old filters, accelerate very slowly to 40-42mph for street driving and then coast from there...repeat the cycle, set highway cruise to 60-63mph, I am sure the same driving habits will help gas-engined RX as well.

In my research to buy the 400h I did not find any issues that others had with the hybrid battery. Mainly the inverter recall which has been done on my car. More than mpg, I just love the added power of the electric motor.

I hear ya on the added mileage etc. I might consider looking for a a 3rd gen rx hybrid or even just another 2nd gen but a hybrid as well(way way down the road I mean) so long as the battery holds up. One of the service advisors at my VERY reputable lexus dealer told me that the battery should last at least 150,000 miles if not more. How many more miles than that is anyone's guess. The biggest thing is that they are un-godly expensive to replace like in the thousands somewhere so that is a disadvantage.
