RX330 Cargo Net
Has anybody seen, or better yet have the '04 RX330 cargo net?? My local dealership didn't have them yet when I bought my RX and my salesdude hasn't seen them.
I don't really see where they go looking in the cargo area of my RX - I see the lower hooks but don't see the upper connectors.
Can anyone point me towards someplace to purchase, or are the pre-04 cargo nets the same and could be used on my '04 or do I need the '04 specific nets.
I've looked at a few online retailers, lexus-parts.com and irontoad.com, both have the nets listed BUT their part numbers don't match the Lexus website part numbers for the 330 cargo nets.
And if anyone has any pictures of cargo nets installed in their '04s I'd love to see them.
Thanks in advance!

as far as i know, they don't come with cargo nets (. . . yet). they changed the cargo holding function of the 330 by putting the spare tire underneath the car rather than in the trunk. by doing so, now you have those two buttons which open shallow compartments. the "lids" on those compartments have those little "grocery hooks" to put your groceries. they don't work very well and they don't prevent your stuff from moving around like the old 300's cargo net. i tried to put a watermelon in there and it did not work at all.
the 300's cargo net was much better for groceries and other things. i miss that cargo net!
they did, however, put the 4 metals loops which can accomodate a flat net which can cover your stuff, but i've seen those things before on other cars, and they don't work as well as standing nets like the ones that come with the 300's and other lexus models.
there probably will be a better way soon, but for now, i've been using a cardboard file box . . .

I got the cargo net added as an extra bonus along with the awesome deal for my RX330 I got from Crown Lexus. It was the only one they had!! I haven't installed it yet but when I do I will post pictures on the forum. Currently I'm waiting for the nose mask but they don't even have a part number for it but I have an excellent salesperson and I know he will call me as soon as they get one! Thanks Chad!

Cargo Net
Thanks to reading all of your informative posts, I finally took the plunge and got my new RX330 last week (it took about two weeks to arrive). Anyway, I went to the dealer to get the cargo net (I was tired of using the little hooks in the pop up trays).
So here's the scoop on it. Since there are no hooks to hook in the top portion of the net, you need to drill into the trim panel and insert a weld screw and the hook for the net (it all comes in the package along with a paper template showing you where to drill). It was actually pretty easy to do if you're not timid about busting holes in your new car. It's on and it works great! I don't understand why something like this doesn't come standard with the car though.
Love the RX!
