Default Code PO793 intermediate shaft speed sensor

Can I drive this car without doing any damage I am half way from Florida to St Louis and would like to get to my repair shop there in St Louis

Hard to say, typically it's a speed sensor issue but sometimes it can be due to a failing shift solenoid. First thing would be to clear the code and see if it comes back, if so then pay very close attention while driving it. If the vehicle seems to drive okay you may be find driving it back to St. Louis. If the shifts start to get erratic or the engine starts to run poorly then you have no options but to repair it before driving further.

Thank you for your response I'm going to give it a try. Car seems to be running excellent with no problems at all... I am going to check the transmission fluid level as well as look at the wiring going to the sensor to see if it's plugged in properly
