It seems normal that solar sensor may trigger a error code when the car parked in a garage ever under shade. It doesn't affect A/C Auto mode with such a error code stored.

As Auto Recirculation of airwhen using AC is a programmable feature, so check setting first with Techstream.

Use Techstream check air condition setting

As I stated in my other post, I don't use the auto feature normally. When I drove the car today, I pressed the auto button. It turned the a/c compressor on but the recirculate did not come on. I had to do that manually. BTW I have an 07 w/o nav.

great to hear you were able to figure that all out with results ending on a positive note.
Thanks - I guess the only thing positive about the outcome is that the A/C still works. Aggravates me that the operation now is deficient without an answer

I don't have techstream - I may have to take it to a dealership to see what's going on. Why would the setting just switch to manual mode all of the sudden? Not asking you specifically but it doesn't make any sense

I am not saying the AC setting for sure is lost, with proper diagnosic tool like Techstream we can isolate or narrow it down, otherwise it was just shot in the dark.

Just checked my A/C on Auto with Techstream, all functioning normally, no Codes.
Good tool to have, I connect Techstream with an old, indestructible Dell Laptop with Windows XP that was close to on it's way to the electronic recycle.
No internet connection, as Windows XP is venerable to viruses.

I just got back from the Lexus dealership and they set the operation back to Auto. We don't know why it strayed in the first place but thank you very much for posting this. I actually printed your post and took it to the dealership and told the service writer to give it to the tech to help him diagnose. So, thank you again!!
