Enabling option on the RX330!!!!
This might be a weird question, but it would not far fetch to think so...
I just got my RX330 black exterior with black interior, with the sport package.
What I would like to do, is to add the automatic tail gate opening systems to my RX, I have remove both blanks buttons where the power for the release is, and all the wiring is there and have power to them.
Can I add the automatic tail gate opening on my RX330?
It's seem that I would need 3 switches and the automatic piston!
Any comments or help will be greatly appreciated!

The only package that doesn't include the power rear gate is the Premium Package. In some areas (Mid-Atlantic/Delaware), it's not even available with just the Premium Package, based on the web site. Don't know about ordering from the dealer.

I haven't looked under the button blanks but I'd be interested in the possibility of retro-fitting the power tailgate to my RX330. I find that the unpowered tailgate to be too hard to close if you're carrying a heavy object in one hand and don't want to set the object down (e.g. the road is wet or dirty). This is one of the few annoyances I have with my RX.
If anyone has tried this or has looked into such a retrofit, I'd be very interested in what you have found out.

Just wondering, on the non powered hatch, do you have to close the hatch all the way or just get it to the bottom? On the power hatch you just need to close it to the bottom and the motorized latch sucks it in the rest of the way.

time4lexus, I know what you mean, because I too am confused with all the posts here?
So here's my question.
I have a RX300 and would like install ~the~ remote power rear door open/close, does anyone know if the 300 can have this installed??
Can the 'electronic' parts from the 300 be installed or retorfitted to the 300??
Thanks.
