Default The Clunking, Make it Stop :/

Hi everyone, we have a 2004 rx330 that has been nothing but fantastic, its been safe and reliable. For a year I have been dealing with a clunking noise, when going over rough roads, speed bumps, pulling into driveways that have a grade etc. I also get the noise when braking as I come to a stop. I have changed, rear rotors w/pads , rear struts [Monroe quick struts] carrier bushings, replaced sway bar end links, checked underneath the car for loose panels heat shield etc. After all this work sill making the noise which is driving my wife mad, and its putting her on the verge of getting a new car. What else should I check and or replace. I had read somewhere Lexus is aware that this is an actually issue of the rear noises, anyone can confirm this? Any other areas I should check.

Control arm bushings, or subframe bushings. Although your RX is not old enough for subframe bushings to have disintegrated due to age. Does the RX have a front sway bar? End links and bushings there also. Any bushing subject to rotational force is suspect.

What was the solution? I had the left & right link to the sway bar replaced. They were worn/broken. The sound is still there, except mine isn't only over bumps its while driving too.
please help me uncover the problem or did your wife get a new car?

I'd put it up on a drive on rack, such as a alignment rack & bounce it up/down while you or someone to look & hear where your noise is coming from........
